Do you use Google calendar? There is a new productivity update.

Google have added a little feature to their calendar that could make your life a whole lot easier, especially if you are a hybrid worker. You might remember in 2021 when they first introduced the option to share your working location with your colleagues, they have now taken that up a notch.

Now you can set up multiple locations for any given day on your calendar. So, whether you are splitting your time between the office and home, or out and about as a mobile worker, Google has got you covered.

Imagine that you are working for half a day in the office, then you have to head off for a client meeting before working the last part of the day at home. With this new feature, your colleagues will know exactly where and when you are working.

Google is all about helping us work smarter, not harder. They know that many of us are still working remotely, or juggling a mix of office and remote work and this update is specially designed for it.

This update is available to anyone who has a Workspace account, including:

  • Google Workspace Business/Plus
  • Enterprise Standard/Plus
  • Education Fundamentals/Standard/Plus
  • The Teaching and Learning Upgrade
  • Non-profits

Unfortunately, personal accounts won’t have access just yet.

he working location feature will be switched on by default, but, if you prefer you can easily disable it.

We think this will be a really great feature! If you would like any help or advice, let us know. We would be happy to help!
