People, devices and locations
The number of users matters, but so does the mix of devices, offices, remote workers and working patterns behind them.
We do not publish a one-size-fits-all price because the responsibility, complexity and support required differ between businesses. This page explains what shapes your quote, what should be included and our two managed service models.
Managed services only. No hourly break-fix and no quote until the responsibility is clear.
A sensible proposal starts by understanding the environment and the responsibility—not applying a generic rate to a user total.
The number of users matters, but so does the mix of devices, offices, remote workers and working patterns behind them.
Helpdesk access is a smaller responsibility than monitoring, maintenance, suppliers, Microsoft 365, security and ongoing improvement.
Customer expectations, insurance, Cyber Essentials, sensitive data and recovery needs all influence the protection and evidence required.
Legacy technology, specialist applications, multiple suppliers, unusual service hours and upcoming projects change the work involved.
Reactive support is shown here as a contrast—not as a West View IT service. Our model includes the ongoing work that prevents problems and improves the environment.
The visible cost is usually an hourly charge, block of time or limited support agreement. Monitoring, maintenance, security, documentation and improvement may sit elsewhere—or nowhere.
The fee covers an agreed service: support, monitoring, maintenance, security, Microsoft 365 management, documentation and responsibility for keeping the environment healthy.
The useful question is whether you need another permanent generalist, or access to a broader set of capabilities around the team you already trust.

A useful proposal makes the service boundary visible, exposes the gaps and gives you enough information to compare providers fairly.
When the agreed service is covered by a clear ongoing fee, both sides benefit from fewer problems, better maintenance and steady improvement—not from creating another bill every time something breaks.
We learn about your people, systems, risks, current support and what keeps getting in the way.
We make clear what stays with you, what moves to us and where any shared handover sits.
You receive a clear service and commercial commitment shaped around that real boundary.
Bring your current invoice, an existing proposal or simply the problem you are trying to solve. We will help make the comparison clearer.
A single figure is only meaningful when the responsibility behind it is clear. User numbers matter, but so do security requirements, existing systems, internal capability, sites, suppliers and the amount of operational ownership being transferred.
No. West View IT provides managed services only. We work through a fully managed service or a co-managed partnership with your internal IT team. Reactive support appears on this page only to explain why its pricing model is not comparable with managed responsibility.
It is a different commitment rather than a like-for-like replacement. Co-management can add several technical disciplines, absence cover and extra capacity without asking one new employee to cover every gap. The right comparison includes the full employment and capability picture, not salary alone.
The main drivers are the number of people and devices, the systems and sites involved, the security and compliance standard, the support hours, project requirements and how much responsibility your provider is expected to own.
Yes. Bring your current provider invoice, internal staffing commitment and any regular extras. We can help separate the visible fee from the work, tools, risks and gaps sitting outside it.
Yes. Once the environment and responsibility split are understood, we provide a clear scope showing what is included, what remains with your team, any project work and the ongoing commercial commitment.
