Choose the support model that fits the team you already have.
Already have an IT manager or small internal team? Co-management adds capacity and specialist depth around them. No internal IT function? Fully managed support gives your business one accountable team to run the whole service.
The same specialist depth. A different division of responsibility.
This is the practical split most buyers need to understand before discussing tools or packages.

Outsourcing responsibility is not the same as outsourcing decisions.
In either model, you keep control of priorities, budgets and business risk. The support model decides who operates the technology and who is accountable for the working day.
A clear service should make ownership easier to see—not hide it behind technical language.

What is the main difference between co-managed and fully managed IT support?
With co-managed support, your internal IT manager or team keeps an active role and West View IT takes agreed responsibilities alongside them. With fully managed support, West View IT becomes the day-to-day IT department for the business.
Does co-managed IT support replace our IT manager?
No. It is designed to make the internal role more sustainable and effective. Your IT lead keeps the business knowledge, internal relationships and control while we provide cover, capacity and specialist depth.
Does fully managed IT mean losing control of our technology?
No. You keep the business decisions and visibility. We take responsibility for operating, monitoring, supporting and improving the agreed IT service, with clear reporting and regular conversations.
Can we move from fully managed to co-managed support later?
Yes. The right model can change as your business grows or hires internally. A clear responsibility map makes it possible to move work between your team and ours without rebuilding the whole relationship.
Which model is best if we have one IT person?
Co-managed support is usually the stronger fit when one capable person already understands the business but cannot reasonably cover every specialism, holiday and escalation alone. We confirm that by mapping the actual responsibilities together.
How do we decide who owns each area?
We review your people, systems, suppliers, risks and recurring work with your IT lead. Each responsibility then gets an owner, a handover point and an agreed response expectation before the service begins.
