What is Microsoft 365 Copilot in plain English?
It is an AI assistant built into the Microsoft 365 tools many businesses already use. It can help find, summarise and draft work using information the signed-in person is already allowed to access.
Can Copilot see all of our company information?
No. Copilot follows the signed-in person’s existing Microsoft 365 permissions. That is also why those permissions should be reviewed first: if somebody can already open an overshared file, Copilot may be able to use it for that person too.
Does Microsoft use our business data to train public AI models?
Microsoft says Microsoft 365 Copilot customer data, prompts and responses are not used to train foundation models. The service operates within the Microsoft 365 service boundary and honours the organisation’s existing controls.
Do we need a licence for every employee?
Not necessarily. We normally start with the people and roles that have the clearest use cases, run a focused pilot and use the results to decide where additional licences would earn their place.
Is Copilot the same as ChatGPT?
They are different products with different editions and business connections. Microsoft 365 Copilot is designed to work inside Microsoft 365 and can ground answers in work content the user is permitted to access.
Will you train our team as well as configure it?
Yes. A good rollout combines safe setup with role-based examples, hands-on practice, a small group of champions and simple measures that show whether the tool is genuinely helping.
